Ex Voto is a votive offering to a saint or to a divinity; in this case to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ. It is given in fulfillment of a vow (hence the Latin term, short for ex voto suscepto, "from the vow made") or in gratitude or devotion.

San Gorg – 24th of April – St George’s feast is celebrated by the church on the 25th of April. The Feast is celebrated in Victoria Gozo and In the village of Qormi in Malta.
San Pawl – 10th of February – The feast of St Paul is a public holiday in Malta. St Paul gave us our Catholic roots and as such is the patron saint of Malta.
